Course Schedule:

This course is designed as a selective course for China Studies Program. It will provide students with a brief introduction to business in China, a country that is described as the most exciting economy in the world. The course will include 3 lectures and 1 business tour.

This Course aims:

A.       Learn the fundamentals of doing business in China.

B.        Develop insights about the key characteristics of the China business culture and etiquettes

C.        Broaden perspectives on international business strategy in China setting.

D.       Develop knowledge about the opportunities and challenges of doing business in China.

E.        Gain an appreciation of the importance of Social & Economic History and Beliefs

F.        Professional tour plans for an opportunity to explore the authentic China business examples.


The professional Tour to Ningbo Beilun, includes Lecture on foreign investment in Ningbo by Mr. Hejun Zhou, Deputy Director of Merchants Bureau of NETD; Visit to Ningbo Beilun Harbor; Visit to Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd.
